This has a very early 90’s feel to it and with a reason: that’s when it was made. It’s one of those tracks that floated around on my machines forever, I actually remember working on it when I only had like 2 synths. This final version should be from around 1991/ 1992. Earlier versions had 8 bit samples of the TR-909 drums for the beat, but this one has an actual 909 which I bought on one of my first trips to the US. It may have been from the sessions I did in Brussels where we recorded the Modulate EP for Crammed Discs/ SSR.
I don´t wanna be your lover for the weekend!!! Hey, back in the 80ies they tried to create this kind of sound but this is actually authentic and cooler. crazysexycouple
