Metropolitan was my farewell acid track of the nineties. It symbolized how I felt about acid at that time: the 303 is loosing the battle. It screams in the background, even comes to the front for a bit in the end, but can not sustain that any longer. It is drowned out by a new and more subtle sound, and that track symbolizes the end of the whole west coast acid thing for me. It would be over 5 years before I made another acid track.
